Building the life you want can be deeply rewarding and highly demanding. Your body can absorb a lot for a long time, and you can get very good at overriding stress, until one day, often in midlife, you notice you can’t do that in quite the same way anymore.

Chronic stress can change many aspects of how we function. Stress regulation, emotional reactivity, concentration, breathing, muscular tension, sleep and energy. I offer interventions for all these layers.

Seven years ago, I introduced tools such as neurofeedback into my practice, and what I saw was that for many of my clients, brain and body regulation led to automatic changes in thinking, perspective and emotional regulation. This body-first approach to regulation is now the centre of how I work and the layer I still see missing in psychological approaches.

I felt like I was ‘on’ and in overdrive the whole time — a state of constant vigilance. I found Nicola’s website and what it said resonated ALOT. Immediately after the trial, I could feel my body being softer, my thoughts were more mobile – I wasn’t holding tightly to worries. I booked a full course. The answer is that I am still myself, but now I am the relaxed version that I wanted to be.

The Work

Some clients work with me short term with a specific focus. Others work with me over longer periods as their needs evolve and as they build on previous work with me.
